Why My Blog is Not More Popular

I have determined my blog is not more popular for the following three reasons:

  • I don’t post enough. (I have known for some time that I have this problem.)
  • I’m not controversial enough. (But I have many controversial thoughts, so therefore I ought to post them.)
  • I’m not crazy enough. (Apparently there are popular bloggers who overshare crazy things about their lives. I think there should be a limit to how much a person shares, but there are some things I haven’t shared that I wouldn’t mind sharing on this blog.)

So there you go. This post is hardly crazy or controversial, but at least I am posting again. And that’s a good thing.

  1. Focus on the first one. Post regularly and your audience will grow. Controversy and crazy only works if you are truly that kind of person. If so, go for it. If not, stick to being you. The world needs more of you, not more of you trying to be someone else. Keep posting. Keep up the good work. Keep offering valuable posts. It will grow.

    1. Thanks for commenting, Aaron. One of my biggest problems is consistently posting, so that’s definitely something I’ve been working on doing (or at least trying to do). 🙂 And you’re right, crazy and controversial shouldn’t really be faked. I’m not really crazy (or at least I don’t think I am!) but I definitely have strong opinions on certain subjects that probably could be regarded as controversial. 🙂
