NaNoWriMo: Days 3 and 4

What is this? Find out here.

I don’t really have much to report for days 3 and 4. I wrote. Two of my characters had an argument in a courtroom. That was a really fun scene to write, particularly because the one guy is just so odious. (He worked for my protagonist, but lied to her, tried to kill her by hiring a hitman, then committed crimes during a war and pinned them on her. How terrible is that?) At my current rate, I will finish my 50,000 words in time.

I’m getting to the really heavy stuff in the book: the war. So far, I’ve mainly been setting the scene, introducing characters and the situation. Now I have to write about a brutal war. This war is one reason why I have put off writing this book for so long. I’m not sure I’m up to writing it. Time will tell if I’m able to pull it off…

  1. I’m having fun with my novel too… but I can’t seem to be writing fast enough to do the 30 000 by the end of November. What’s more, I think for such a complicated plot to be fully fleshed out, it’ll probably take 80 000 words. But in any case, it’s getting along. Half a novel is better than nothing!
