In my quest to convert the entire United States (and eventually the entire Western world) to listening to classical music, I have a nice video for you today: Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 24 in C Minor, K. 491. I was recently introduced to this concerto (“recently” meaning in the past year or so) and I absolutely love it. Here are a few fun facts about it, shamelessly lifted off Wikipedia:
- Mozart finished writing it a mere three weeks after finishing up Piano Concerto No. 23, another favorite of mine.
- It is the only Mozart piano concerto scored for both oboes and clarinets.
- It is one of only two minor key concerti. The other is No. 20, which is my favorite Mozart piano concerto.
Some study somewhere said listening to classical music makes you smarter… so go ahead and listen to this. 😉
